POLICE are investigating a suspicious incident in Coventry where a woman was bundled into a silver Ford Fusion before it was driven off.

Officers received reports of the attack which happened around 10.15pm on Wednesday night in Stoke Green.

A dog walker called police after hearing a woman screaming near the park and then saw her pushed into the car before it left.

Police say they have no other witnesses or any related missing persons reports, so the force needs to identify this woman to make sure she is okay.

There are also no descriptions of the people involved, but officers have ascertained the car made off towards the A444 for Nuneaton.

The investigation is ongoing, including checks around the vehicle. It’s thought this could be domestic related.

Police are now appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed what happened – or any motorists with dash-cam who may have caught the vehicle on video – to get in touch.

Anyone involved – or who knows who may be – should call 101.

Officers are anxious to ensure the woman’s welfare.
