POLICE are investigating an incident in which shots were fired in Coventry, in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Officers have appealed for witnesses and dash cam footage following the incident in Far Gosford Street, around 2.15am.
Police believe they were fired at a car by the occupants of a black BMW. Both cars were driven away from the scene and officers are working to trace them.
No one has reported any injuries and investigators have been retrieving and reviewing CCTV as part of on-going enquiries.
Ch Insp Dave Amos, from Coventry Police, said: “An incident like this in our city centre is a concern for us all and our teams are committed to identifying and detaining those responsible.
“Such violence has no place on our streets and we have stepped up local patrols in the area, so please speak to us if you need reassurance or can assist with our enquiries.”
