POLICE have found a body believed to be that of a missing 28-year-old Coventry man who was a keen footballer.
West Midlands Police posted on Facebook today: “Officers searching for missing Coventry man Louis Cureton have found a body in a wooded area on Leaf Lane, near Whitley in Coventry.
“The body is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be that of the 28 year-old.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and his family are being supported by officers.”
Many tributes have flooded in for much-loved Louis, including one from his old football team Coundon Nugget FC.
The club twitter account wrote today: “Thoughts this morning go out to Louis Cureton and his friends and family who sadly passed away aged just 28.
“Good guy and a superb footballer. As well as the Nugget, he was a great player for Brookies Jag & of course Hawkesmill – sad day indeed – Rest In Peace Louis #RIPlouis”.
