Police seek these people after Coventry pub brawl left bystander with 'lifechanging' injuries

A Coventry pub fight left an innocent bystander with life-changing injury – and police have released images of people they want to speak with.

West Midlands Police are investigating the fight that took place in the Coventry Cross pub at The Burges, Coventry.

It resulted in a “man with a brittle bone condition sustaining life-changing injuries.”

The fight broke out on August 13 this year at around 10.10pm, when an argument between a man and two women escalated.

The force says two men punched another man to the ground, kicked him and broke a glass over his head.

As this was happening, an innocent bystander was knocked down and received a fractured leg due to his brittle bone condition.

Police would like to speak to the people pictured in connection with the man’s injuries.

One woman has voluntarily assisted police with enquiries but no arrests have been made.

DC Paul Deeley of Coventry CID said: “We are keen to find out the identity of the people on these photographs.

“We hope they may be able to help us understand how a man who had nothing to do with this fight ended up with a life-changing injury.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact CID Coventry on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 giving reference 20CV/172824A/17.
