POLICE seized almost 800 cannabis plants after raiding three properties in the Radford area of Coventry.
The swoops – led by PC Wheeler, acting on a Section 23 drugs warrant – saw 95 plants discovered in one property and then the other 703 were discovered in adjoining properties.
The average cannabis plant is worth around £1,000 so the seizure by police has resulted in the removal of close to £800,000 worth of cannabis from the streets.
And it means the Holbrooks and Radford team – using Section 23 warrants – have now taken 4,150 cannabis plants and 3,000 cannabis deal buds off the streets since July last year – that amounts to around £4.18million worth of the drug in eight months.
Officers from the force thanked the community for the information which lead to the seizures.
And they have urged anyone else with any information to call them on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
