POLICE have launched an internal probe after an officer was filmed doing flips on a trampoline in a Coventry garden while on the job.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said the force is aware of video footage being circulated that shows a police officer bouncing and somersaulting on a trampoline in Treherne Road in Radford, Coventry, on Friday (April 26).
It says an investigation will be launched into the behaviour of the officer who ‘fell short’ of the accepted standards of the force.
The video shows the officer leaving the back door of a house and jumping straight on to the resident’s trampoline.
He bounces for nearly a minute while other officers look on, and attempts a back flip when the video ends.
The footage is believed to have been taken by a neighbour.
Supt Jenny Skyrme from the Force Response team said: “We expect our officers to have the highest standards in their conduct and behaviour and sadly, this appears to fall short of that.
“Our Professional Standards Department have been informed who will review the matter to determine if there is a breach of the Standards of Professional Behaviour.”
