THE UPCOMING rail strikes are set to severely impact passengers in Coventry, with industrial action taking place across three dates in the coming week.
Members of the ASLEF, RMT and TSSA unions will be taking industrial action on Saturday, October 1.
In addition, ASLEF members will be taking action on Wednesday, October 5 and RMT will strike on Saturday, October 8.
As a result no West Midlands Railway services will be available on any route on October 1 and October 5.
Then on Saturday, October 8 there will be two trains an hour going between Birmingham New Street and Birmingham International, with rail replacement provided between International and Coventry.
West Midlands Railway customer experience director Jonny Wiseman said: “It is disappointing that our passengers’ journeys will continue to be affected on three more days of industrial action in October.
“Customers holding purchased tickets can travel on alternative days or they will be entitled to a refund.”
He added services will be impacted in the morning following a strike day.
