A RECORD number of students and graduates were welcomed by high-profile employers at a recruitment fair held by Coventry University College.
More than 1,300 people attended the college’s second ever Graduate Placement and Recruitment Fair – over double that amount of visitors at its first event.
Businesses including E.ON, BDO and Nissan were among the exhibitors at the event discussing opportunities available to those looking for graduate placement following their studies.
Students and graduates were able to network as well as gain inside industry tips on subjects including how to prepare for interviews and knowing what employers want.
It was the second event of its kind organised by Coventry University College, with the first being held in February which attracted around 600 visitors.
Aysha Abdullah, careers and employability manager at Coventry University College, said: “There was a real buzz at the event and I’m very proud of what we put together over a six month period.
“We had more than 40 exhibitors including a number of high-profile companies, which was excellent for our second event.
“We’ve received great feedback from the exhibitors who said it is really worth their time – they have received quite a lot of interest from those who came to the event.”
