A £3 MILLION prize pot will land in Coventry after the city was revealed as the lucky location of the People’s Postcode Lottery’s Postcode Millions event.

Players in the postcode sector CV1 5 are guaranteed a cash prize and residents will be invited to attend a special ceremony at the Coventry Cathedral ruins on Saturday (May 28) to find out how much they’ve won.

Last year, the People’s Postcode Lottery visited Nuneaton where the winning location shared a £2 million prize pot – however the lucky Coventry winners will share an incredible £3 million.

With more than a quarter of funds going to good causes across Britain, players of the People’s Postcode Lottery have so far raised over £118.8 million for charities.

Good causes in Coventry that have benefitted from support by players of the lottery including the Boxing Clever Academy, who earlier this year received £1,450 for their Boxing Clever Project.

The project aims to give young people the opportunity to develop their fitness, self-esteem and confidence.

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador, Judie McCourt, said: “I’d like to congratulate all our players in the lucky postcode sector. “They will no doubt be counting down the days until they find out how much they have won.”
