COVENTRY’S residents are invited to attend the annual Remembrance Sunday service at the city’s War Memorial Park.
It will honour and pay respects to all those who lost their lives in the two world wars and other conflicts.
Sunday’s service will begin from 10.50am, featuring a parade, hymns, readings and laying wreaths to pay respects.
It is being led by The Right Reverend Dr Christopher Cocksworth, the Lord Bishop of Coventry.
A parade steered by the city’s young marching band, the Coventry Corps of Drum, will leave Spencer Road at 10.30am.
Music will also be played by the City of Coventry Brass Band during the service.
Coventry’s Lord Mayor John Blundell will attend the event to lay wreaths and take the salute.
He said: “2018 is an especially important year when it comes to remembering the fallen, as it marks 100 years since the end of the First World War.
“I invite members of the public to come along to pay their respects and remember all those who have lost their lives in wars and armed conflicts.”
Guests should assemble near the Cenotaph.
