REVEALED - When The Wave waterpark in Coventry will be 'back with a splash'

Coventry Editorial 23rd Apr, 2021 Updated: 23rd Apr, 2021   0

THE WAVE – Coventry’s £36.7million waterpark – will be back with a splash next month with the first public session on May 21.

The centre has been closed during the lockdown and has parent and toddler sessions returning from May 18 and family fun sessions starting a day later.

Safety measures remain in place including reduced capacity for each session, staff are wearing the appropriate safety equipment and hand sanitiser is available for customer use around the building. Further details regarding safety measures can be found on The Wave’s website.

The state-of-the-art waterpark showcases six high octane slides, each offering a combination of speed and thrills.

From the Torrent – which drops riders 20metres – to roller coaster rides like the Cyclone which drops you into the plunge pool. Each slide is a unique experience complemented by light and sound features which ensure complete immersion for the rider.

Also found within the waterpark is The Reef – a splash pad area with jets, tipping buckets and smaller accessible slides for toddlers along with a lazy river and wave pool which churns over 20million litres of water every day.

The Wave provides for all ages and makes the perfect family activity.

Paul Breed, chief executive for CV Life, said: “I’m so pleased The Wave has finally re-opened.

“We have been waiting patiently for the green light from the Government to do so.

“We have maintained safety measures to ensure our visitors are safe and can still enjoy their time at the waterpark to the maximum.

“I look forward to seeing visitors return to use the fantastic waterpark soon.”

CV Life’s Lifestyles fitness suite and pool are also now open at The Wave along with those at The Alan Higgs Centre, Centre AT7, Xcel Leisure Centre and Moat House Leisure Centre. Mana Spa within The Wave is also now open and ready for bookings online.
