TWO WEEKEND closures of the M69 will be taking place while resurfacing work is carried out.
The work will make a smoother and safer journey for drivers on the southbound carriageway between junction one and the M1 junction 21.
As well as resurfacing, the white lining will be repainted and road studs replaced where necessary.
The work is being carried out Monday to Friday between 8pm and 6am.
The southbound carriageway will be closed for two weekend on August 16 from 9pm to August, 19 6am, as well as August 30 from 9pm to September 2 at 6am.
A third weekend closure may also be required on a date to be confirmed.
Fully signed diversion routes, agreed with the local authority, will be in place during the closures.
