FESTIVE fund-raisers braved the cold to raise money for Myton Hospice.
Some 1,000 supporters dressed up as santas and elves took over Victoria Park in Leamington as part of the charity’s annual Santa Dash.
Together they raised some £38,000 to support the charity, which has sites in Leamington, Coventry and Rugby and runs a hospice at home service.
Assistant events manager Rebecca Richards said: “Seeing so many Santas and elves take on this year’s Santa Dash really brought the Christmas spirit to Leamington. We cannot thank everyone enough for their support, without our participants, volunteers and suppliers events like this would not be possible.
“This time of year can be quite tough for some people so we hope the spectacle of hundreds of Santas running around Leamington Spa to raise money for The Myton Hospices will bring a smile to someone this Christmas.”
