SAVE OUR BEES: More information about Friday's #SaveOurBees campaign photo-shoot outside Coventry Stadium

SUPPORTERS of the Coventry Bees speedway team are being reminded to attend our photo-shoot outside Coventry Stadium this Friday, March 10, afternoon at 4pm.

Fans planning to attend the Save Our Bees campaign event are asked to arrive early as we have been unable to gain access to the stadium’s main car park despite enquiries.

There will be opportunities for you to tell us what the Coventry Bees speedway team means to you and add what you think can be done from here to help save your club.

We are asking fans to aim to get to the stadium for 3.30pm with a group photo taking place between 4pm and 4.15pm – giving fans as much time possible to make their way to the stadium following the school-run.

There will also be the opportunity to have your own individual picture taken to support our campaign.

We will be meeting outside the main entrance to the stadium and are politely asking those attending to not enter the grounds of the stadium site, including the car park.

Rugby Borough Council leader Coun Michael Stokes has confirmed he will be in attendance while all other members of Rugby Borough Council have also been sent an invitation.

Coun Stokes said: “I’ve worked with the fans and relevant parties over the past year to secure a future for motor sports at Brandon and like most was extremely disappointed that the negotiated three year lease was not able to be taken up.

“The Bees have a long and proud heritage in Rugby and I will continue to give my support wherever I can to ensure their survival and their place in the 2018 fixtures.”

No rain is forecast for Friday though it will be overcast so bring a waterproof coat in case the weather isn’t on our side.
