Several arrested after variety of public order offences in Nuneaton over Christmas

PEOPLE will be appearing in court on public order offences after several incidents in Nuneaton over Christmas.

An officer was allegedly punched in the face after he ordered a drunk man to leave the area in Bondgate, Nuneaton in the early hours of Christmas Eve.

A 23-year-old man from Nuneaton was arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly and assaulting an emergency worker. He was later released under investigation while enquiries continue.

An officer was allegedly spat at in Nuneaton custody block by a woman who had been arrested on suspicion of assaulting a man at a property in Rugby in the early hours of Christmas Day.




Angelika Lisowicz, 32, of Lawford Road, Rugby was later charged with assaulting an emergency worker and will appear at Coventry Magistrates’ Court on January 12.

And detention staff at Nuneaton Police Station were allegedly racially abused by a woman after she had been arrested on suspicion of assaulting a man at a pub in Rugby.


The 42-year-old woman from Rugby was also arrested on suspicion of committing a racially aggravated public order offence and later released under investigation while enquiries continue.
