Share your messages of thanks for Coventry's frontline Covid keyworkers

Coventry Editorial 22nd Jan, 2021   0

A DIGITAL record of thanks has been created enabling Coventry residents to send their gratitude to all of those who are on the Covid frontline.

The collection will allow people to share their support for all those putting themselves at risk to save lives, protect others and keep critical services running, including people who have died in doing so.

Coun Patricia Hetherton, cabinet member for city services, said: “So many people are putting others first in the fight against coronavirus, working selflessly every day to keep vital services running and care for those in need.

“I know that all of us in Coventry will always be grateful for what they have done and continue to do.

“The messages of thanks will help us to share our appreciation, and create a record of just some of the amazing things that our keyworkers have done to keep our city going and protect our health.

“It is also a sombre reminder of those that have tragically lost their lives in the fight to get the virus under control, and the sacrifice they have made.

“Everyone in the city can help make sure that NHS, care workers and key workers know how much the people of Coventry appreciate them by adding their messages of thanks.”
