SAMARITAN purse have celebrated over 11.3million shoebox gifts collected for Children in Need.

The purse project Operation Christmas Child collected over 238,000 shoebox gifts in 2023 across the UK.

The ministry is now sending over 11.3million shoebox gifts to children worldwide, including many who are suffering from war, poverty, disease and disaster.

Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child has collected and delivered more than 220million gift-filled shoeboxes to children in more than 170 countries.

Drop off locations are closed until November 11 to 18.

Churches across the country have partnered with the ministry, rallying their local communities to pack thousands of shoeboxes that will bring joy and hope to children in need around the world.

These shoebox gifts will be packed and sent from the National Ministry Centre in Coventry by the team alongside thousands of volunteers.

This year, Samaritans have a goal of sending 260,000 shoebox gifts from the UK.
