SHOPPERS in Coventry are being urged to make sure all local children have something to open on Christmas Day.
Tesco at Coventry Arena Shopping Park is holding a collection for new and unwrapped toys for Coventry City Mission’s The Giving Tree Project, who will then distribute them to local families in need.
Tesco Community Champion Michelle Walsh said: “This year’s toy donation campaign is a fantastic way for customers to help local families in need and ensure children in our community have something to open on Christmas Day.
“We are so grateful to our customers who donate what they can to help bring a little festive joy to local families this Christmas.”
Claire De Silva, Head of Communities at Tesco, said the annual toy donation campaign was a wonderful way to make a difference at Christmas.
She added: “It’s great to see Tesco Coventry Arena Extra partnering with Coventry City Mission this year to ensure that every child experiences the magic of Christmas.”
The collection ends on Monday (December 15).
