TWIN sisters walked from the Godiva statue in Coventry to HMS Victory in Portsmouth to raise cash for CALM.

Frankie and Abbie Smith lost their brother Chris, who took his own life last year and had worked most of his life in Coventry and was in the royal corps of signals.

The sisters walked in his memory as Chris has walked a similar walk when he was 15 to raise cash for a local school.

Abbie said: “Losing our brother to suicide changed everything about our lives.

“Things will never be the same without his ridiculous laugh, his larger than life personality and his massive heart.

“And our aim is to try to make a difference so that no more families have to go through what we’ve been through.

“That’s why we’re going to be taking on this challenge to raise money for CALM.

“They offer life saving services, provoke conversations and bring people together to reject living miserably.

“They also offer support to those who are bereaved by suicide, which is something we have been super grateful for since losing Chris.”
