SIX people have been arrested in connection with the murder of 18-year-old Michael Ababio in Coventry.
Following a public appeal, three teenage boys – aged between 17 and 19 – were arrested on suspicion of murder last night (Tuesday March 3) in Nuneaton and North Wales.
A girl aged 17, a woman aged 19 and a man aged 23 were also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
All six were taken into custody while police enquiries continued.
Police are still looking for suspect Ismael Nabeel, 17, and are urging anyone who knows his whereabouts to call 101 quoting log 4185 of February 22.
Michael Ababio suffered a stab wound during disorder outside Foleshill Library in Broad Street at around 9.40pm on Sunday February 22. He was pronounced dead early the following day.
Det Insp Nigel Box, leading the investigation, said: “These arrests are a significant development in our investigation, and we have updated Michael’s family as we continue to support them.”
