SKY Blue Support will be offering twice the amount of food for people who need it this weekend with a double festive feed.
The organisation will be handing out free food on Saturday, December 16 in Hillfields Square at 1pm for its usual street feed of hot and cold food cakes, and drinks.
Then at 2.30pm on Sunday, Sky Blue Support will be working alongside Get Stuffed Cafe on Walsgrave Road to offer a wide range of freshly cooked food including a Christmas dinner.
Sky Blue Support will also be handing out food parcels on the day for people to take home.
The group holds street feeds every Saturday, helping residents in Willenhall or Hillfields on alternating weekends, and the group’s 19 volunteers drop off food supplies to residents, charities and shelters seven days a week.
Its founder Sunny Braitch said: “This is a lovely thing the cafe is doing which will help people in Coventry over the holidays.
“Anyone who is struggling can simply pop down and come see us and we will try to help.”
