COVENTRY City Football Club (CCFC) has paid tribute to young fan Rowan, who was returning from watching the Sky Blues beat Shrewsbury Town 3-0 at the Ricoh Arena when he died.

A tribute to the football-mad youngster featured in the club’s programme for CCFC’s league trophy group match against Northampton earlier this week and a picture of Rowan was displayed on the scoreboard during the seventh minute of the game.

An announcement was also made over the tannoy prior to kick-of expressing the club’s sympathy for Rowan and Dora’s family.

In the wake of the tragedy last year, the club held a minute’s applause for the young season ticket holder before their home draw against Blackpool on October 17, 2015.
