Students were also keen to explore the use of these words in modern black music culture and had discussions about their use among a minority Afro-American and young black British communities.
The day was supported by Coventry City Football Club, who sent players Ephron Mason-Clark and Raphael Borges Rodrigues to answer questions about being a black player in professional English football.
