TWO LADIES are to put their weight-losing experience to the ultimate test on Monday night (July 11) as they prepare to lead their own Slimming World groups.
Jane Bush and friend Jenny Morgan both joined Jane Bates’ Slimming World group on the same night after receiving a leaflet through their door highlighting the formation
Jenny has lost two stone since starting her Slimming World routine and now regularly sacrifices her morning lie ins to complete 6am morning runs of up to six miles.
She even completed the popular Two Castle Run last month and has slashed her wardrobe – now wearing a size eight instead of a size 14.
Jane meanwhile has lost a remarkable three stone seven lbs and has dropped two dress sizes.
Since then, the pair have encouraged each other to lose weight and will now pass on their expert advice to new ‘slimmers’ at The Four Provinces function room on Monday (July 11) at 7.30pm.
Jenny will also be running her own group starting on Wednesday (July 13) night at St Joseph’s Church in Cannon Park at 7.30pm.
Jenny said: “Obesity is becoming a huge issue across the UK, when I first joined Slimming World I never dreamed that I would end up helping other people lose weight – I just can’t weight to get started.
“After losing two stone it’s a privilege to be able to pass on the experience, insight and understanding that helped me.
Jane added: “Support is the most important thing – it all starts with a feeling that you’re not alone.
“I couldn’t have lost the weight I did without the weekly help, encouragement and understanding of my own consultant and group.
“I know the challenges people can face which is why I will be there to support every one of my members all the way to their chosen target weight.
“Setting targets, sharing recipes and working together as a group to overcome challenges and celebrate success is so important to a successful journey.”
