TEN weeks ago Guy Watt was in a coma after a near fatal car crash.

But on Sunday he continued his amazing road to recovery by walking five miles around Draycote Water. It was the day he was intending to run the London Marathon.

Lifelong Sky Blues fan Guy told us: “The never say no part of me managed to walk all the way round with the aid of Nordic Poles.

“It hurt a lot, but the people I was raising money for are sometimes in pain everyday of their lives so it is a small price to pay.

“It was an opportunity for me to do something on the day I was supposed to be running the London Marathon.

“It was humbling to see so many friends and family supporting me as well.”

Over 50 people turned out on Sunday morning to walk with Guy who managed to raise £300 for children’s charity Phab, whom he was running the marathon for, and the air ambulance.

That is on top of the £3,271.50 pledged online at virginmoneygiving.com which is double his £1,650 target.
