A SPOOKTACULAR programme awaits half-term visitors to the newly-renovated St Mary’s Guildhall.
Between October 22 and 30, people can tread the same ground as historical figures such as Mary Queen of Scots and Frederick Douglass and hear about seven centuries of gripping Coventry history.
Ghost tours will run daily at 11am and 2.30pm.
Weird and wonderful traditions and superstitions believed to keep spirits at bay are uncovered in the newly-unveiled medieval kitchen, including witch mark searching, soul cakes, willow wand crafting and charm making.
Autumn Animal Storytime for primary and pre-school children and bookmark-making take place on Monday, October 24 and Coventry’s Poet Laureate, Emilie Lauren Jones will hold ‘Animals of the Guildhall’ children’s workshops between October 26 and 28.
Visit www.stmarysguildhall.co.uk for more on the activities, made possible thanks to National Lottery Heritage Fund support.
