COVENTRY’S Belgrade Theatre is giving youngsters and the over 50s the chance to test out their acting skills with its new weekly theatre hub workshops.
The workshops will give people the chance be part of a company to create an original piece of theatre inspired by a show in the Belgrade programme.
Youngsters will be split into three groups, including eight to 11-year-olds, secondary school students and 16 to 25s.
There is also a group for those over 50 to get involved in.
Participants will be able to learn new skills, explore new forms of theatre and find new career opportunities within the arts while helping to craft a high-quality production.
Rehearsals will run during term-time and there will be added rehearsals in the lead-up to a show, which will take place in July.
It will cost £200 for an annual membership fee with free bursary places also available.
