LOCAL people are being encouraged to join in the Alzheimer’s Society Memory Walk at Coventry’s Memory Walk on October 9.
Hundreds of people will be fundraising on the day to support those living with dementia in Coventry and the West Midlands.
The walk will bring together those that have been personally impacted by dementia or those who want to pay tribute to a loved one.
People of all ages and abilities will be able to take a 2-kilometre or 6-kilometre walk, with the full route on the Alzheimers Society website.
People can also choose to complete a charity walk in a location of their choosing throughout September.
An Alzheimers Society spokesperson said: “By signing up to the family-friendly walk, fundraisers will support people affected by dementia through some of the hardest and most frightening times, to improve their lives and help to avoid crisis.”
