Suspected drug dealer arrested as home in Nuneaton is raided by police

A SUSPECTED drug dealer was arrested after a raid in Nuneaton this morning (Monday).

Officers from Warwickshire Police swooped on an address in Hill Top.

A 23-year-old man from Nuneaton was held on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs.

Officers also confiscated mobile phones from the address.

Det Sgt Alan Gardner from the Serious Organised and Acquisitive Crime team, said: “There is a great deal of work going on across Warwickshire to tackle the supply of drugs and the associated violence, not all of this will be visible to the local community.

“Our team of plain clothed detectives are out most days looking for drug dealers and gathering intelligence.

“I hope these warrants demonstrate to local people that we are acting on their concerns.

“We might not be able to provide an immediate response to every report made, but the information you provide forms part of a bigger picture into the supply of drugs.”

Another home was raided today in Croft Pool, Bedworth, but no-one was arrested in connection with that one.

Reports can be submitted through the Warwickshire Police website or by calling 101.
