A SUSPECTED robber from Coventry has been charged following a series of thefts in the city.
Phillip McCarthy has been charged with two robberies, an attempted robbery and two counts of possession of a blade.
McCarthy, 37, was arrested last week and also charged with possession of crack cocaine.
All charges relate to offences in the Hillfields area.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Warwick Crown Court tomorrow (Thursday February 19).
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “Every day our teams in Coventry carry out patrols and targeted operations against offenders.
“Thanks to information we receive from the public, we are arresting more suspects and keeping the community safe.
