RESIDENTS can be taken back to the swinging 60s with a new show taking place at Coventry’s Belgrade Theatre at 7.30pm on March 22.
Mike Pender MBE – who formed The Searchers – heads up the evening of entertainment, along with John McNally who was also in the popular group.
They notched up six UK hits with three of them reaching number one – including ‘Sweets For My Sweet’, ‘Needles and Pins’ and ‘Don’t Throw Your Love Away’.
The TREMS – all former members of The Tremeloes will also be performing on the night.
Originally called ‘Brian Poole and the Tremeloes’, their hits include ‘Do You Love Me’, ‘Call Me Number One’ and ‘Silence Is Golden’.
Dozy, Beaky Mick and Tich – who outsold The Rolling Stones and The Beatles in Germany in 1967, Birminngham group The Fortunes and The Dakotas will also be performing on this packed night of entertainment.
Among those three bands’ hits are the classic ‘You’ve Got Your Troubles’ and ‘Do You Want to Know a Secret?’
