GOLF enthusiasts can take part in a charity tournament this summer to raise funds for Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice.
Members of the Zoe’s Place Business Group are hosting the event at Coventry Golf Club on July 1 to help boost its income which has been severely affected over the past year because of the pandemic.
Martin Sutliff, the club’s head PGA professional and a member of Zoe’s Place Business Group, said everyone was excited to be hosting the competition again.
“The first event two years ago raised £6,000 and it would be great to beat that this time round.”
Organisers are looking for up to 24 teams of four to take part.
He added: “Our club was established in 1887 and this event will give keen golfers the chance to play on Coventry’s oldest golf course which back in the 1970s hosted a number of European
Tour events with world class players such as Seve Ballesteros gracing the fairways.”
Participation is £300 for a team of four, which includes a bacon roll and coffee on arrival, and a two-course dinner and prize giving ceremony for competitors at the end of the event.
