POLICE in Coventry have launched an appeal for public help after a teenager was hit by gunfire.
The 18-year-old is recovering after an attack on August 8 at Edgwick Park.
Officers are still searching for the assailant, after two people were released under investigation.
A spokewoman for West Midlands Police said: ” We are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after an 18-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound in Coventry in the early hours of August 8.
“Officers were alerted after reports of shots being fired at Edgwick Park, at around 1am.
“The 18-year-old later presented at hospital with injuries which are not thought to be serious.
“During a search of the park weapons were recovered and CCTV from around the area is being reviewed as our enquiries continue.
“A man and a woman, both aged 19, were arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis with intent to supply and have been released pending further investigation.
“Detectives are also urging anyone who was in the Foleshill Road area between 12.30am and 1.30am on Saturday or has dashcam footage to get in touch.
