Teenager stabbed in Coventry street

A TEENAGER, 17, has been stabbed and seriously assaulted in Coventry.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for information following a serious assault on Far Gosford Street, Coventry, at around 1.30am on Saturday, May 11.

“A 17-year-old boy was chased by two men.

“One of the men punched him several times to the face and the other stabbed him on his arm and back.

“He was taken to hospital to be treated for injuries which are not believed to be serious.

“We believe there were lots of taxis in the area at the time, so we are directly appealing to any taxi drivers who have any information or dash-cam footage who may be able to assist in our enquiries.

“Anyone with information can contact us via Live Chat at west-midlands.police.uk between 8am and midnight, call 101 anytime or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
