TESCO Mobile has launched its first-ever ‘Store of the Future’ in Coventry.
The store is located in the Tesco Extra on Phoenix Way and is part of a trial with no plans to roll this concept out in other British phone shops just yet.
The trial concept store has been designed with new interactive features such as a ‘play table’ which brings together the latest mobile technology for customers to experience.
Shoppers can also try out new products and there are updated consultation areas where experts can offer on-the-spot support and technical help.
The shop floor was created using recycled and sustainably sourced materials with 43 per cent of the surface being recycled post-industrial waste that has been diverted from landfill.
Tesco Mobile CEO Claire Pickthall said: “Our ‘Store of the Future’ combines emerging trends across retail which is shaping the way consumers like to shop, and we are excited to see how customers react to the new store in Coventry.”
