COVENTRY City Council will hold a By-Election to fill the vacant seat in Sherborne on September 22.
The by-election will take place following the death of Coun Seamus Walsh last month.
The notice of election will be published on Wednesday (August 17) when the nomination period will start.
Candidates will need to submit their nomination by 4pm on Thursday, August 25, after which a full list of nominees will be put onto the Coventry City Council website.
Those registered to vote will receive a poll card after Saturday (August 20.)
The deadline to register to vote is midnight on September 6.
