THREE people have been charged in connection with the murder of an 18-year-old in Coventry.
Michael Ababio suffered a stab wound during disorder outside Foleshill Library in Broad Street at around 9.40pm on Sunday February 22. He was pronounced dead early the following day.
Mahad Mohammed, 19, has been charged with murder and attempted murder.
Two 17-year-old boys, who cannot be named due to their age, were also charged with murder and attempted murder.
They were remanded in custody and appeared at Coventry Magistrates Court on Saturday (March 7).
Three other people arrested last week – a girl aged 17, a woman aged 19 and a man aged 23 – have all been bailed.
Police are still looking for Ismael Nabeel and are urging anyone who knows his whereabouts to call 101 quoting log 4185 of February 22.
Det Insp Nigel Box, leading the investigation, said: “Investigators have worked tirelessly since Michael’s tragic murder and we will continue to gather evidence to understand the circumstances surrounding his death.
“Michael’s family have been updated and we continue to support them.”
