PROPOSALS have been introduced for three more average speed enforcement (ASE) camera locations at Holyhead Road, Allesley Old Road and Allard Way following a series of collisions.
The new measures aim to effectively reduce the number and severity of personal injury collisions.
These cameras are due to go live at the end of the month.
ASE cameras record a car’s registration and work out the vehicle’s speed by measuring the time taken to travel between set points.
They are seen as an effective way of reducing speed as they can cover a longer stretch of the road compared to other cameras.
Data will be collected over time regarding speed reduction, collisions and injuries and will show how increased speeds impact these statistics.
