Time almost up to have your say on Coventry ward boundary changes

Coventry Editorial 27th Jul, 2023   0

THERE are only days left to have your say on new ward boundaries for Coventry City Council.

The Local Government Boundary Commission for England which is running the review has decided Coventry should have 54 councillors representing them, the same as currently.

However, the political map is set to be redrawn, with the commission wanting to hear if its plans reflect the views of Coventrians.

A consultation on the proposals will end on Monday (July 31.)

The Commission is interested in what facilities people share, such as parks, leisure centres or schools and shopping areas.

It also wants to know what issues neighbouring communities face, such as high numbers of visitors or heavy traffic.

The Commission will use feedback to help it draw up proposals for new ward boundaries, after which there will be another round of consultation.
