A FUNDRAISER dedicated to Coventry Blaze assistant Dayle ‘Keeno’ Keen, who sadly passed away last week, has raised more than £4,000, writes Jonathan Coste.

The GoFundMe page has seen over 100 donations as tributes have flooded in for a man who so many in the local community held dear.

Writing on behalf of Dayle’s mum Kay, sister Daryl, and brother Jamie, Bobby (brother of Dayle’s dad who passed away November 2023) said: “While Dayle may no longer be with us in person, his spirit lives on in the memories we hold dear and the legacy he leaves behind.”

Keeno’s funeral will take place at 3.30pm on Wednesday, March 20, at Dreghorn Crematorium in Irvine. Tea will follow at Riverside Lodge in Irvine from 4.15pm.

The funeral is open invite and the family are committed to providing a a live stream to allow everyone the opportunity to pay their respects.

A bucket collection (cash only) was held at Coventry Blaze’s home game against Cardiff Devils at the Skydome Arena, flowers were laid and a tribute was made to Keeno ahead of the puck drop.
