THREE knives have been recovered and two teenagers were arrested after an incident in Coventry at 3pm yesterday afternoon (Wednesday).

Police responded to several calls after receiving reports of a boy being chased by a group armed with weapons.

A 16-year-old boy was approached by three youths in Blackberry Lane, Walsgrave, and was then pursued but managed to escape.

Officers rushed to the area, quickly identified two suspects and detained them in Draycott Road.

Searches revealed the knives.

The pair, aged 14 and 16, were held on suspicion of possession of a bladed article and remain in custody for questioning.

This is being treated as an isolated incident and officers are continuing with their enquiries.

Police are trying to identify a third suspect involved and have appealed anyone with information or dash cam footage to call them on 101 or speak to them via live chat at west-midlands.police.uk
