TWO MORE waste drop-off sites will open on Monday for residents to take their rubbish to during the Coventry bin lorry driver strikes.

The sites will be at Willenhall Social Club and at Telfer Road car park, increasing the spread of sites across the city that residents can get to.

The two new sites will be open from 8am to 4.30pm seven days-a-week.

So far more than 120,000 cars have visited the nine drop sites.

It comes just days after two more sites opened on Monday – off Wellington Street and the Coventry Community Resource Centre off Aintree Close.

They will also open between 8am and 4.30pm seven days-a-week.

The Tom White Waste site, off Judds Lane, opened on Saturday and will be available between midday and 4pm Monday to Friday and from 10am to 4pm at weekends.

The other six sites in Coventry are at Wyken Slough, Leicester Row car park Hearsall Common (off Beechwood Avenue), Sowe Common car park, War Memorial (main) car park and Cheylesmore car park (off New Union Street)
