THE UNIVERSITY of Warwick has been ranked top of the West Midlands rankings in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2023.
The university also ranks ninth in the national rankings.
The university also gained impressive results in the 2021 Research Excellence Framework, which rated 92 per cent of its submissions as world-leading or internationally excellent.
Coventry University also performed highly, finishing sixth in the West Midlands and being awarded gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework for “consistently outstanding” student support services.
It was also ranked in the top 20 for satisfaction with teaching quality and undergraduate experience in the National Student Survey.
The new edition of the free 96-page ‘Good University Guide’ will be published in The Sunday Times this weekend.
It includes profiles of 135 universities and uses data published in the last two months to compile the report.
The academic league table is made up of eight indicators.
These include student satisfaction with teaching quality and their wider student experience, research quality, graduate prospects, entrance qualifications held by new students, degree results achieved, student and staff ratios, and degree completion rates.
