UNIVERSITY Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust is looking to make some capital gains by luring nurses, midwives and therapists to the city from London.
The Trust has signed up to exhibit at the Health and Social Care Jobs Live on June 16 and 17.
The event, at London’s Westfield Shopping Centre, will be the first in the UK solely dedicated to recruitment in the healthcare sector.
The Trust is also looking for new staff in its maternity department, which delivers about 6,000 babies each year and provides services to the area’s most complex cases, along with short and longer-term support for women and their families.
It takes less than an hour to travel from London Euston to University Hospital and to Rugby’s Hospital of St Cross, however, the Trust said due to the cost-of-living crisis, jobseekers may want to move away from the capital and it would be able to cater for both cases.
The UHCW NHS Trust’s resourcing manager Helen Atwell said they wanted to speak to candidates interested in joining the NHS, considering returning to the service or wanting to come out of retirement.
