University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire raise a cup to say a NHS Big Tea 'thank you'

UNIVERSITY Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire Charity was proud to host a VIP Tea Party in honour of The NHS Big Tea and the NHS’ 73rd birthday.

Supporters, staff and volunteers gathered to enjoy tea and cake as a ‘thank you’ for their vital life-saving work over the past 16 months.

Jo O’Sullivan, UHCW charity director, said: “It has been wonderful to thank in person some of those who have supported our staff during this most difficult of times.

“Donations from our supporters have meant so much to our hard-working staff over the pandemic and have funded wellbeing areas and psychological support.”

Speeches were made by Prof Andrew Hardy, Chief Executive Officer of UHCW NHS Trust, the Lord Mayor, Prof Nina Morgan and Chief Nursing Officer and UHCW Charity Trustee, with all reflecting on the past year and the wonderful support given by those present for NHS staff and volunteers.
