COVENTRY Citizens Advice has issued an urgent appeal for volunteers to help Coventrians cope with the cost-of-living crisis.
The charity said it needs helpers now more than ever and is looking for recruits from all backgrounds to give their time.
It helps people in Coventry struggling with rising household bills, employment issues and energy prices.
Volunteers are being recruited to both the general advice and the Energy team to provide advice to those at risk of fuel poverty.
Those who want to sign up will need to be able to volunteer the equivalent of one day per week.
This can be split over two days, but time for home learning is also required.
Marian Nelson, Volunteer and Training Co-ordinator said: “If you are passionate about helping others, interested in people, patient and methodical, we would love to hear from you.
“You do not need any formal qualifications as we give you all the training you need. If you have the time to offer we would love to hear from you.”
The application deadline is Monday, October 9.
