ONE of the most iconic children’s book characters will be wiggling his way to Coventry to perform the classic story over the festive season, writes Shnae Harrison.
The Very Hungry Caterpillar Christmas Show will make an appearance at Warwick Arts Centre from December 18 to 24 after showcasing other seasons in London and New York.
The theatrical adaptation of the global sensation by Eric Carle will also feature more of the author’s other books, including Brown Bear Brown Bear, 10 Little Rubber Ducks and the festive tale Dream Snow.
The stories have been read to generations of children, capturing the eyes of many with hand-painted illustrations and this show will create an even bigger and brighter experience for youngsters in the city.
Carle celebrated the 50th anniversary of his best-known work in 2019,
The Hungry Caterpillar, created in 1969, has sold 54million copies and has been translated into 62 different languages.
Performances of the production, suitable for children aged one and over, will take place daily at 11am and 2pm while the show is in Coventry.
