Visiting times to increase from tomorrow at Coventry's University Hospital

Coventry Editorial 22nd Nov, 2022   0

VISITING times at Coventry’s University Hospital will be increased from tomorrow (Wednesday, November 23).

Visitors can now see their loved ones between 2pm and 8pm seven days a week while they’re being treated at the hospital.

The updated arrangements replace the existing visiting times of 6pm to 8pm from Monday to Friday and 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm at weekends.

Up to two people can visit for up to one hour at a time in an attempt to improve the patient’s stay at the hospital, but people will still need to wear face masks at all times in clinical areas.

The visiting hours increase also applies to Rugby’s Hospital of St Cross.

Tracey Brigstock, Chief Nursing Officer at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust said: “There’s nothing like a visit from a loved one to give our patients, as well as their friends and families, a boost during difficult times, so we are delighted to be able to extend our visiting hours.”
