COVENTRY’S iconic St Mary’s Guildhall is on the lookout for volunteers to help showcase the building’s 700-year history.
The Guildhall reopened last summer after receiving more than £6million of funding for a major renovation and restoration programme.
Volunteers would be tasked with welcoming visitors, while those with a creative flair will be able to take part in blogging and photography projects to help tell the tales and history of the building.
People of all ages with a passion for history or Coventry would be welcome, and there are chances to help out through in-person and remote working.
Abi Moore, St Mary’s Guildhall’s heritage and venue manager, said: “It’s been brilliant to see the level of interest we’ve had in joining our volunteer team at St Mary’s Guildhall.
“We’re looking for people who want an opportunity to connect with the community.”
