A BIG fall in unemployment has been welcomed by business chiefs.
The Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce said the drop to 7,227 from 7,516 in Coventry was a further sign of economic improvement.
But Chamber chief executive Louise Bennett warned against complacency.
“Rising confidence and falling unemployment is what we all want to see but we are still too early into the recovery to think the job is done and that’s why I would like to see calls for a rise in interest rates to be quelled until the New Year at the earliest.”
